City of Hope Boys’ Town
Tanzania

Our independence home for young men puts the finishing touches on their holistic education as they become productive citizens in their communities and beyond.
-
RENOVATING AND REMODELING
The five-acre property has already been acquired and is presently under construction. Renovating the buildings, remodeling the interior, and furnishing the facilities is in progress to create a welcoming home environment where 30 young men can thrive. Our projected date to move in the first boys is December 2025 – just in time for Christmas.
-
FINAL PHASE
In this final phase of their training, our goal is to equip these young men to navigate the challenges of adulthood through structured living, skills training, and mentoring through a supervised program. The curriculum will focus on equipping them for practical life essentials.
-
IMPACTING COMMUNITIES
As these young men complete their program and return to their communities and beyond, their roles – from godly man, husband, father to leadership positions in the church and community – will require them to make honorable choices now and in the days and years ahead, as their daily example influences others to do the same. Leading by godly example and not word alone.
“I am deeply grateful for your belief in me…”
(EXCERPTS OF AN ACTUAL LETTER FROM A UNIVERSITY STUDENT TO HIS HOPECO SPONSOR.)
Dear Joseph*,
I hope this letter finds you well. I wanted to let you know that I am a second-year student at Moshi Cooperative University (MOCU) pursuing a degree in accounting and finance.
I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous support and sponsorship. Your contribution has been a cornerstone of my academic journey. I have been doing exceptionally well in school. These accomplishments would not have been possible without your unwavering support.
Your sponsorship not only provided financial assistance but also motivated me to strive for excellence. Knowing that someone believes in my potential has been a tremendous source of encouragement. I am excited about the future and the possibilities that lie ahead. I am determined to use the knowledge and skills I am acquiring to make a positive impact in my field and contribute to our community.
Once again, thank you. I am deeply grateful for your belief in me and my potential. May God bless you abundantly.
Warm regards,
Samuel*
