Sponsor a Child
Every Child Is Precious

Why is child sponsorship important?

Imagine not being able to go to school because you had to find enough work each day to be able to feed yourself so you wouldn't starve. That was the reality of John’s* early life. He grew up in squalor and misery in a rural community with no one to provide for even his basic needs. Never having the privilege of even entering a classroom, John had no hope for the future.

But thanks to the work of HopeCo in Tanzania – and his child sponsors in the United States – John now has a reason to smile. He has a safe place to live, a bed, clean clothes, medical care, nutritious food, and people that love him! John is working hard in school and making good progress. He loves music and dancing, is building true friendships, and has exciting dreams and hopes for the future. More than anything, John is experiencing the love of a Savior who has wonderful plans for his life!

This is what HopeCo is about.

Lifting children like John out of poverty, abuse, violence, and pain. Giving them opportunities to flourish and thrive as they experience healing from past hurts. Empowering them to reach their full potential. And giving them opportunities to encounter the compassion and hope that Jesus offers them.

By becoming a child sponsor, you send a simple, yet transformational, message to a child: “You have a future and a hope!” (Jeremiah 29:11-12)
