Women’s Empowerment Program
The vulnerable women in our empowerment programs learn sewing and business skills so they can earn an income and provide for their families. In addition, each woman is cared for and provided with spiritual nurture.
House of Faraja Safe House
Providing protective care to vulnerable girls. This includes the House of Faraja, safe house that rescues girls from horrific abuse, trafficking, child marriage, and female genital mutilation. The house provides protection, counseling, education, and a safe place for each child to heal. Here they are safe, and receive trauma-informed counseling, quality education, and spiritual nurture as they are cared for by our loving staff.
City of Hope Residential Care
City of Hope has been highly influential in giving hope and a future to vulnerable children and their families by providing residential care for orphans and other at-risk children, where their physical, emotional, educational, social, and spiritual needs are met. Many of these young people are girls who have been rescued from abusive situations, including child marriage and female genital mutilation. At the City of Hope, orphans and vulnerable children are rescued and provided with a bed, nutritious food, excellent medical care, and quality education.
Advanced Education
At HopeCo, we are committed to seeing transformed lives and flourishing communities. Every young person deserves the opportunity to reach their full educational potential. Our desire is to see these students have skills and abilities that will create long-term change. We pray that some of them may even become godly leaders in our work in East Africa as HopeCo continues to grow! In 2025, we’ll have almost 40 young people in college or university!
Primary and Secondary Schools
Our schools in Tanzania consistently score among the best in the country. We are now sending a growing number of young people on to college. Quality education is the only reliable exit from poverty. At our primary and secondary schools, we educate the next generation of children, developing their skills, and sharing the Good News of the Gospel with each student!

A medical clinic that helps give kids a healthy start, offering vaccinations and medical exams that uncover and treat health threats early in their lives – as well as providing prenatal and postnatal care, dental care, and other essential health care to the wider community. Amani Medical Center treats hundreds of patients each month, providing life-saving care. They also offer health education classes, vaccinations, and child health programs.
